World Zone Australia

Vision began in Australia under the leadership of Dr. Ken and Dr. Alison Chant, on the small island of Tasmania. From the start, the goal of taking the whole word to the world was in the heart of our founders, and it continues to be the passion of Vision worldwide. Vision has numerous Resource Centers in Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.

Recently Alison Chant wrote us to say, “We are finished with fires here and instead have been flooded with rain. The Christians united in their prayers and the Lord answered abundantly with floods. This is indeed a land of droughts and floods.”  We are praising God that our friends in Australia are safe and the threat from the fires has ended.

Myanmar

Since 2002 we have been supporting several local bible colleges in the outer suburbs of Yangon and over 160 students have graduated from those colleges. Following the devastating Cyclone in 2008 those colleges were devastated, buildings destroyed and a few of the students were killed. Most dispersed and engaged in ministry with many Buddhist priest. The International Bible College has gone to assist the ministry in reaching people in that nation. We now have two colleges, one in Yangon and one in Mandalay, Nepal. We are being encouraged to continue the translation of our materials as the need is great and the potential is tremendous. Thus, our strategy remains to translate works and plant schools, with the eventual hope of conducting leadership conferences for the underground church as the Lord opens doors.

Papua New Guinea

Two colleges have been established in the Port Moresby province and interest is being developed in Madang and Mount Hargan in the Central Highlands of the nation for colleges to be established in those nations.

Philippines

On the Island of Mindanou a college and training center has been established. Vision has also established programs in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Zone Leader: Denis Plant, M.Th. Principal@visioncolleges.net

Dr. Denis has enjoyed a teaching ministry for over 40 years. Moving up through the ranks of the local church he moved on to pastor and later to pioneer several churches in NSW.  Denis has taught in several bible colleges in Australia and around the world and has established two Bible Colleges, one of which is now the denominational Bible College for the Foursquare Churches in Australia

Coming Trip to Brazil

Dr. Kathy Smith is returning to Feira de Santana, Bahia Brazil on March 1, 2020 to join our Brazilian Zone leader Pastor Lucas Santana and his family, Apostles Jose and Edna Santana. They will hold a three-evening conference on Healthy Relationships with God and One Another, a leadership training, and participate in a local community outreach and workshop.  Kathy will be accompanied by local Michigan Pastor Janet Polidan who will also be teaching and offering a workshop for single moms and women with a focus on “After Divorce Care.” Your support would be greatly appreciated, first in prayer and if God so leads, donations may be made to Vision – Brazil support.  This will help to offset expenses that will be incurred. (please note in the memo section that this donation is for the Brazil trip)

New Life Christian Fellowship of Grand Blanc, Michigan has been overwhelmingly supportive by covering airfare, and they have also purchased a new phone for Pastor Lucas to replace his failing one. This we will deliver to him in person. We still need to raise at least $1000 for additional expenses before the trip. We appreciate your support as God leads.

Vision of Brazil continues to equip leaders for kingdom service.
This announcement is from a recent class in hermeneutics.

Vision World Zone Update

World Zone –Pakistan and India

“Just the Tamil language alone will touch millions…India is ripe for Vision” Pastor Robert Nesan, Kuwait.

As you can see, this nearly 1.5 billion people are a large target group, and eventually we hope to have many additional directors over these various areas, perhaps broken down by language group.

As of today, Vision has Bible schools in Southern India. In Pakistan we have some schools as well, with the limited amount of Urdu language materials we have. We also have a school in Nepal. We are actively translating materials into Tamil, which reaches Southern India and Sri Lanka, where we have some schools established.

Dr. Steve Mills and Dr. John Ezekiel work together in leading our World Zone outreach from Kuwait and Malaysia respectively, while Harold and Linda assist us in Pakistan, as benefactors of the colleges planted there.

Worldcast Ministries

Worldcast Ministries & Publishing was founded by Harold and Linda Eberle in 2000. They began their ministry by pastoring a church for six years in the Northwest US, beginning in 1980. After a fruitful season pastoring, Harold felt a call to travel and minister to the larger Body of Christ. Since that time, Harold has become known in churches around the world. He is a popular conference speaker and visiting instructor at numerous Bible Colleges. In 2015, Linda joined Harold on the road full-time, after she retired from 15 years of teaching second and third graders.

About 1/3 of Harold’s energies are invested in foreign nations, while the rest is invested in the USA. He has ministered in dozens of countries, with special focus on three regions. In 1990, he began working in the Philippines helping Pastor Eddie Deita establish a Bible College, facilitating strong leaders on the island of Mindanao. Then in 1996, Harold began spending extensive time in central Africa, where he worked with Dr. Weston Gitonga to establish 11 Bible Colleges in seven countries.

Since 2010, Harold has focused his ministry in the Middle East, where he is working and investing time ministering in the Muslim-dominated areas of the world.

World Zone Update — Brazil

Vision of Brazil

Almost 5 years ago, a young pastor named Lucas Santana contacted me at our Vision office in Ramona, CA.  A Brazilian native, Pastor Lucas was living in Texas with his wife Janniny, and their infant daughter, Esther.  They had relocated to the US while Lucas completed his degree at Christ for the Nations.  He needed work to cover the expenses of his growing family while he completed his education.   He offered to help us with website development and social media.  It is hard to believe that it has been almost five years ago.  In retrospect, I realize this was truly a divine appointment.

Lucas’s heart for Vision and for the mission to take the “Whole word to the whole world” has been evident in all that he has done and continues to do for Vision.  Pastor Lucas works to develop his numerous skills to meet the needs of Vision International. His responsibilities with this ministry continue to expand.  He does much of our video editing, social media management, as well as assisting with some of our websites.

Since our initial contact, Pastor Lucas completed his degree and he and his family have returned to Feira de Santana, Brazil.  There they work alongside his parents, Apostle José Ribeiro Santana and Pastor Edna Sena Santana to pastor their growing church and their church plants.

The home church was established by Apostle José and Pastor Edna Santana 30 years ago. Since then it has continued to grow.  They have trained and equipped pastors for 13 church plants so far.  These pastors and leaders continue to meet with Apostle Jose and Pastors Edna and Lucas weekly.  They discuss specific concerns and needs; and they continue providing training and support to the leaders of these outlying churches.

In addition, Pastor Lucas accepted responsibility for our Brazilian World Zone in 2018.  As the Brazilian zone leader he opened the first school of ministry in their church in February of 2019.  Recently, Pastor Lucas reported:

“Right now, we have more than 40 students and 13 churches affected by Vision.  Our church is growing and developing the fivefold ministry after we start to develop Vision teaching here.”

The vision for Brazil in 2020 is to:

  • Develop and equip local leadership through the Vision curriculum in schools of ministry.
  • Prepare students to reach more people in the outlying poor areas and plant more churches.
  • Plant more schools of ministry in outlying localities. These schools will teach the Word of God and facilitate community outreach to include creating feeding programs and giving away clothing to those in need. They will minister to those in retirement homes, hospitals, and orphanages.
  • The Santana family would like to extend to you an invitation. They are open to receiving people from Vision to do ministry or to participate in a Mission Trip for local ministry.

I had the honor of traveling to Brazil for the opening of our Vision School of Ministry in March 2019.  The Santana’s and their church family are the most gracious  hosts one could hope to meet.  The hearts of the Brazilian people are open and hungry for the word of God.  God is truly up to something good in the country of Brazil.

China and South East Asia Zone

“Come help us…we are hungry to know the word of God, and correct doctrine for our people.” – Underground church leader to Vision International World Zone Leader

It is estimated that up to 8% of the population of mainland China is born again, with most believers worshiping in house churches not approved by the government. The need for training and literature is great, and the key to reaching this nation hungry for spiritual reality and strong education are programs such as those offered by Vision International. In addition, Taiwan’s influential Christian population has a heart for the mainland.

Presently Vision has only a few church-based programs in China, but the number is growing. We have been in dialog with numerous underground church leaders, including teams in Taiwan with a heart for missions. We continue to translate our materials as the need is great and the potential is tremendous.

Bob Nolan, Missionary Teacher to China and Taiwan states “The hunger for teaching is amazing. The passion for God is humbling…the willingness to suffer for Christ is awe inspiring. We must help, and our key leaders in Taiwan are willing to help reach the Mainland. The work is great, but God is able if we all pull together.”

Dr. Paul Ai is a Vision Zone leader for China and Southeast Asia. He is the President (Bishop Overseer) at Vietnamese Harvest network International and Bishop Overseer at Paul Ai Ministries – Vietnamese Outreach International. He has a powerful testimony of conversion from witchcraft, been imprisoned on more than one occasion, and has led many to Christ.
