Chaplains Care

Vision International is committed to equipping the saints…this is the first in our series on chaplaincy ministry.

Today’s case study involves a family with a teenager in trouble with the law.  If you were called upon to assist this family, would you know what to do?

Ryan had always been a challenging youth.   He was often in and out of trouble at home, at school, and in the community.  But now his single mother is devastated to learn her son will serve time in prison.  With no extended family nearby and few resources, who can help this mother cope?  Who will help her son?

Incarceration is no laughing matter at any age.  This troubled family is in crisis.  A teen who has made one too many mistakes and will now serve time in prison.   The mother questioning where she went wrong and how much of the fault is her own.  Back up is needed.  A support system is long overdue.  At this point a school counselor is no longer an option, perhaps a prison chaplain can get this family beyond the crisis and on the road to recovery and hope.

The next free teaching is coming out in a few days.  Along with it we will also have a very special FREE gift just for you. Watch your mailbox for more great information and gifts.
