Jocelyn Marks

I was born and raised in the Houston area. After finishing High School, I enrolled in the Texas College of Medical and Dental where I studied as a Certified Medical Assistant. I started working in a retirement facility, and later moved on to become a Home Health Supervisor. Later I began working with dual diagnosis women, specifically with those with drug and alcohol addictions as well as mental health issues.

Growing up I always felt that I had to be doing something to encourage others. I asked God to guide and order my footsteps. This journey led me into the field of Christian Counseling. Having already earned an associate degree in counseling, in 2019 I began the bachelor and master’s program. In 2021, I started and completed in 2022, my doctoral degree in Christian Counseling & Psychology. All of my Christian Education were completed at the Christian Bible Institute & Seminary under the leadership of Dr. Tony V. Lewis who is the president and founder. Today, I attend Bibleway M.B. Church, where I was baptized at an early age and where I currently attend. I serve as an Usher Board Member and the vice president on the hospitality committee.

My prayer is that God will continue to bless each of us; as we endeavor to assist those seeking hope, help and healing.
