The why of my writing is quite simple. I desperately care for my children and have always desired to lay a foundation for successful living. This desire caries far beyond my children…my hope is to positively impact many other children. You see, I have often wondered what my life would have been like if I would have had clearer and more comprehensive information and guidance from God’s Word.

All good parents, and mine were good, do their best in their role. A primary role of a father is to transmit/transfer history, essential components of life from generation to generation. Historically, this has been done orally through the story telling of family life. Thus, as a scribe did in the Old Testament, I am compelled to write what the Lord has whispered in my ear; through His Word, kind friends and even enemies met along life’s road.

With these thoughts in mind, the essential concepts contained within this text are offered to my daughters, now my granddaughters, and grandson, and to sons and daughters everywhere, from a father’s heart.
