Coaching, like counseling or discipleship, requires a set of disciplines and techniques designed to guide a person into new decisions and opportunities. Unlike counseling, this discipline is not looking for the negative effects of the past to overcome, nor is its spiritual formation alone, but a unique relationship designed to determine and enhance strengths to help someone reach their maximum potential in the Lord. Thus, once someone is equipped to coach (which hopefully you have already completed a coaching program), your skills will be of limited benefit if you do not let the world know that you are a coach on a mission!
