Jim Smith

Jim is the instructor of the Practical Christian Living - Bible Studies Series.

Jim was a chaplain’s assistant while serving in the United States Army. He studied at El Paso Christian College, Trinity College of the Bible, San Diego City College, the University of Texas at El Paso, (BA, Psychology), Regent University, (MA, Practical Theology), and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, (AAS Funeral Service).

Jim served as an Associate Minister at Pilgrim Progressive Baptist Church, San Diego; Associate and Assistant Pastor at Community Baptist Church, El Paso; Founding Pastor of Free Gift Church and Ministry Center, El Paso; Elder, Staff Counselor, and Small Group Coordinator at Agape World Outreach Center, Virginia Beach; Founding Pastor of Shepherd’s Care Ministries, Chesapeake VA; Staff member, New Life Ministries, Virginia Beach and Volunteer Staff member, Covenant Church, Carrollton, TX. He has been married to his wife Charlotte for over 49 years. Jim and Charlotte have three children and three grandchildren.
